
Woodcreek Healthcare has received notice that there is a nationwide recall of AuVi-Q epinephrine autoinjector devices, used in the treatment of anaphylaxis due to potential inaccurate dosage delivery. The recall affects ALL AuVi-Q autoinjector devices currently on the market and includes BOTH the 0.15mg and 0.3mg.
Woodcreek is reaching out to our patients directly via phone to communicate the details of the recall. This is a lengthy process so feel free to contact our office directly to obtain information on how to acquire a replacement product.
Our office is available to provide a substitution epinephrine product prescription to our current patients who have an AuVi-Q autoinjector. The Auvi-Q autoinjector will need to be replaced by another epinephrine product immediately. We understand that the new epinephrine product prescribed to you will be a different type of autoinjector and will require education and training. Please contact our Allergy/Asthma Clinic to schedule a training session specific to the new product at 253-848-8797.
Anyone who has questions regarding their AuVi-Q epinephrine autoinjector may utilize www.Auvi-Q.com for information, emailcs@sanofi.com or call 1-877-319-8963 (Monday throught Friday 8 a.m to 8 p.m ET). Sanofi will provide reimbursement for out of pockets costs incurred for the purchase of new epinephrine auto-injectors with proof of purchase.
