The Teal Pumpkin Project
You may have noticed the teal pumpkins popping up in social media feeds, at your local craft stores, and online, all for good reason--food allergy awareness. Every Halloween kids flood the streets of towns across the country filled with excitement, and one goal in mind; to fill their treat buckets! For a child who has a food allergy, this fun and exciting time can be life-threatening. In an effort to include and protect children with food allergies in the trick-or-treating tradition, the Teal Pumpkin Project was created. Placing a teal pumpkin on your porch signifies that you have non-food treats to give out to those with food allergies and to help raise awareness.
